The Vision
To establish a truly inclusive arts space, where disabled and non-disabled artists and performers, from different backgrounds and cultures, can come together as one community, to create and enjoy a range of arts.
The Mission
To provide a space to work, socialise and relax that inspires passion, creativity and collaboration.
How will this look?
A cafe and exhibition space
This will offer an opportunity for early career artists, those from under-represted backgrounds and those that may have experienced other barriers to exhibiting in commercial galleries.
This area will also include a makers shop selling items made by the Arts in the Right Place community.
Performance Space
Providing a stage for people whose stories have been largely untold.
Priority will be given to writers and performers who are members of Arts in the Right Place or who are under-represented within the performing arts in the UK.
For example, people with disabilities, asylum seekers, people struggling with addiction or mental health problems.
