Enjoyed our previous Paws for Applause comedy nights? You're in for a treat - we'll be making this a regular event on the second Thursday of every month. All welcome - sign up via the QR code and simply pay on the door :)

Open mic fundraiser - Friday 17th October
Arts in the Right Place held our very own highly successful fundraiser - an exciting night of performances, from music to poetry to comedy, plus stalls selling locally crafted items and collaborative art activities.

Plughole Scratch - Thursday 23rd October
We hosted the first ever Plughole - a 'night of alternative weirdness where performers try out material that would otherwise have fallen down the drain' , by alt comedian, play facilitator and self-proclaimed 'idiot' Daft Elation

Love Music Hate Racism - Saturday 25th October

We were proud to host an anti-racist music event protesting the rise of the far-right - featuring exciting up-and-coming DJs playing techno, electro, house and more.
​Lift the Ban Fundraiser - Saturday 22nd November
The ongoing campaign to Lift the Ban on asylum seekers' right to work held a community fundraiser with some amazing DJs and performers
Sheffield Transformed workshops and party - Friday 28th-Sunday 30th November
We were excited to host the Saturday night afterparty for the Sheffield Transformed festival -a weekend of left-wing politics and culture. The party was packed out, featuring a fantastic line-up of performers including the brilliant fusion group Kiziah and the Kings, renowned queer folk duo Lucy and Hazel, and many more.

We also hosted some packed-out talks throughout the weekend as part of the festival, including discussions on racial justice, Islamophobia, anti-fascist organising and archiving.

Christmas Fair - Saturday 13th December
We marked Christmas with a fun afternoon of games, activities and treats - plus stalls by local artists and makers - for all the family.

Raccoon Studios is a safe and inclusive DIY creative community arts venue in the centre of Sheffield on the corner of Haymarket and Exchange Street. ​​​
